Another Week

This week was just another busy week in the life of a missionary. We have had a lot of special meetings lately because our mission president leaves tomorrow and we are getting a new one. This week was the first week in a while in which we didn't have any meetings! More time for missionary work!!

This week we meet with a woman who randomly called us and wanted to talk about religion. However when we meet with her, she really only wanted to talk about religion. She doesn't want to change hers. It was a neat experience nevertheless.

I also went on exchanges with Sister Holste. It was full of miracles! We talked to lots of people and I even said the first vision to a lady on the street! It was so cool! It just made me grateful to be a missionary. We don't have very many investigators right now so we proselyte a lot. To people on the street, at the park, and we even knock on doors. It is super awkward, but if you make it fun it doesn't matter. I love being a missionary!

As for our investigators...the daughter and her mom. We had a really good lesson with them and even asked them to be baptized in July, but the daughter doesn't feel ready. That is ok, because now we understand her concerns just a little bit better.

I'm so grateful to be a missionary and I know that the gospel is true!

Have a wonderful week!!

You Are A Child Of God!

Wow, I just love serving in Korean! I love being a missionary and I love doing my Heavenly Father's work. This week we were able to go to the temple, and it was amazing. I could just feel my Heavenly Father's love. We also climbed a mountain for zone conference and it was a lot of fun and very spiritual. At the end of the conference, we sang "I Am a Child of God" and had a testimony meeting. From everything I learned that day I know I am a daughter of God who loves me and who loves everyone we come in contact with. I'm so grateful to share this gospel with the people of Korea.

This week we weren't able to meet with our investigators, but the mom came to church without her daughter this time. The mom is really progressing and she loves coming to church. We will continue to work with them. They are so amazing.

I know this gospel is true. I know I am a child of God. I hope you remember that too!

Just Another Week...

This week we had a zone proselyting activity in our area, zone training, and the elders investigator got baptized! It was a busy week! The best part was on Sunday when the mom and daughter we have been teaching came to church again and the mom stayed for the baptism! It was amazing. They are really enjoying learning about the gospel.

Sorry there's not much to report on last week, but I would like to end with my testimony. I know this gospel is true. I know my Heavenly Father lives. I know anytime I experience something hard or difficult, I can turn to him in pray and I will receive help. I'm so grateful to be a missionary because through it, I have come to understand how much I need the help of my Savior, Jesus Christ.

This is Gods Work.

This week we had mission tour which is where someone from the area presidency comes and talks to us. The whole training was spiritually up lifting. I learned the importance of obedience and to not let discouragement keep you from working hard. I decided that because of what I learned, I was going to try to be more exactly obedient and to talk to everyone no matter how awkward it feels.

I started with my goals immediately after mission tour. Throughout the rest of the day I was able to talk to more people than I would have before. I did get rejection, but I felt happier because I talked to everyone I could. The rest of the week we talked to so many people and got a lot of rejection. However, it lead to a few miracles. On Friday night we were meeting with a member who we have been doing practice lessons with. She told us that she has a neighbor who she would like to refer us to in the near future.

On Saturday before English class we had an activity with the Young Women. Sister Tolley taught them how to crochet. While we went to English class they finished up the activity. After English class we were going to get dinner with the young women when two university students walked in wanting to learn English and more about our church. Since the young women's president was there, we were able to have a member present lesson and got two new investigators at the same time. We plan to meet them this next Saturday. It was a neat experience!

On Sunday, 박선옥s and 홍리현s (the mom and her daughter) came to church and they wanted to pay tithing! So we showed them how to pay tithing. It knock the words right out of me. This week was full of miracles that testified to me God's hand is truly in this work.

Remember the miracles and have a wonderful week!

It's The Little Things.

I would just like to share two experiences that were pretty neat.

The first occurred on Thursday. We had district meeting and learned about sharing short messages about the Book of Mormon on the street. We did a role play for it and failed horribly! The Elders we did it with gave us suggestions on how we could improve. Then later that day we were walking home for dinner and a lady on the street stopped us. We used what we had learned at district meeting and it actually went pretty well! She didn't take the Book of Mormon, but she did take a pamphlet. We also saw her again later that week. It was a neat experience even though it hasn't led to anything yet.

The second was our study room was super messy. We decided it was time to clean it up. So we took some time to clean it. Now that it is clean, we can feel the spirit so much better! It is amazing the difference a clean room can make.

I love missionary work! I love how sometimes in missionary work it is the little things that make a difference. I know this gospel is true. I know we are all children of a loving Heavenly Father!

It's True!!!

This week was surprisingly very busy! We started out the week by meeting with a less active member. We also had an unexpected lesson with a former investigator. From there our week was super busy! The best part of this week though was the weekend!

On Saturday we had studies and a lesson with an old lady in our ward. She is so cute! She is a little hard to understand, but she's so much fun to meet with. Then we had a member present while we shared a lesson with our two investigators! It was a great lesson! What made it great was my companion and I taught together by the power of the spirit. Then we had English class and Family Home Evening with the ward. We were going to share a Mormon Message, but it didn't work so we had to come up with a message on the spot... It was great!

On Sunday our mission president's brother and his family came and spoke to our ward. It was a really neat experience because it was the first time in a long time in which I understood all of sacrament meeting. Sunday was also amazing because it helped me recognize how grateful I am to serve in Mokdong. The ward is like one big family always helping each other. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to serve a mission!

I know the gospel is true and that only through living it can we experience true happiness. The kind that last through the hard times.

Have a wonderful week!!
