Companions

This week I learned how to be a better companion. My current companion is great, but our personalities and views of missionary work are very different. We needed a little help. We went on exchanges with the Sister Training Leaders. That helped me to take a step back and learn how to better work with my companion. I learned the importance of talking openly with each other and fixing problems immediately. It’s like a mission is preparing me for marriage or something....
Our investigators who came to church last week came again this week! It was exciting to have them in church, but they don't understand the importance of meeting with the missionaries. The members did a good job explaining that, so hopefully they will meet with us this week!

In other news, I'm loving Korea and I love the ward I'm currently serving in. They are amazing and so much fun. They are always trying to help us and the ward feels like one big family!

I'm so grateful I decided to serve a mission! It is changing my life. I know that because of this experience I won't go home the same person I was before. I know this gospel is true and I know we have a Heavenly Father who loves us more than we can comprehend.

Faith Brings Miracles!!

Mokdong is just full of miracles!! I have no clue where to begin.

On Tuesday things happened, and our schedule kind of got a little messed up. We had planned to visit a less active at the end of the day, but there wasn't enough time. However, we decided we needed to go visit and guess what?... She was home. We have visited her a few times, but she is never home. It was a miracle. She was super sweet, and talked with us. She doesn't seem to have much interest in the gospel, but she said we could meet again!

Then on Friday, our newest investigator couldn't meet with us. We have only met once before. She is my age and super cute. She was sick though, so on Saturday we texted her to see if she was feeling better. She responded by asking us about church on Sunday (we had invited her the week before). She also asked if it was ok if her mom came too!

On Sunday they both came to church and stayed for all three hours. It was amazing! During Sunday School, our ward mission leader explained the Restoration to them. We found out they are looking for religion to deal with challenges in there life. It is truly a miracle! And I'm so blessed to be a part of it!

I'll conclude with this last miracle. A couple weeks ago when I was with Sister Robinson. We gave a Book of Mormon to a man on the subway. He was so excited to get it that he was shaking. We got his number however, when we called him he didn't answer. Turns out that he found the Elders number and called them. He has been meeting with the Elders and progressing a lot. He came to church this passed two weeks in a row! It is a miracle!

I'm so blessed to be serving the Lord. I know if you have the faith, God will bless you with miracles. I know the gospel is true. I'm so blessed for the opportunity to share it with others!

Have a miracle filled week!!

Sister Mustain

Miracles

This week involved a lot of proselyting. We didn't have a lot of appointments, but we were able to have a lot of neat experiences and see a lot of miracles!

On Tuesday we delivering a note from Sister Robinson to a member and we met a lady who speaks really good English. She had also seen the missionaries around a lot. We gave her our number, and she said she would call when she had time.

We met with a new investigator on Friday. She was super cute and she is my age. She wants to meet with us every week. She said she would come to church this coming week if she had time. Prayer really does work. I've been praying everyday for us to find someone to teach. The Lord has been answering with more miracles than I can count. He has also blessed me with more confidence in myself which has been wonderful!
OK...here is the miracle of the week. I had been praying all week for our progressing investigator, and we weren't able to meet with her. So I prayed that she would be able to at least come to church. On Sunday morning she texted saying she felt too tired to come. I was devastated!! We went to ward council meeting before church and during the meeting she texted us saying she was coming!!! SHE CAME TO CHURCH!! It was amazing and I just felt so much joy for her. She isn't ready for baptism, but she is making progress and that is all that matters.

I'm so blessed for the opportunity to be a missionary! This week was the worst and the best week of my life. It was really hard, but by the end of each day, everything was worth it!

I hope you have a wonderful week!!

Sister Mustain

Emergency Transfers

So this weekend was crazy! On Saturday we got a call from our mission president telling us that Sister Robinson was being transferred to 신풍 because one of my former companions is going home to have surgery! So I now have a new companion Sister Tolley. It was crazy! And this new transfer started two weeks ago.

In other news... this week was super busy going from appointment to appointment. We were running around like crazy! We have been trying to work our hardest and have been talking to everyone, and speaking more Korean than English. It has been so much fun!!

We had a really good lesson with our investigator. It was one of our best! I can see that she is so ready to be baptized, but she says she is not ready to take that step yet.

Well... This week was a lot of fun. I’m so grateful to serve in Korea! The people are amazing. On Sunday we had stake conference and I was able to see members from my very first ward in Korea. They still remembered me and it was so good to see them again. I love my mission. I love waking up every day ready to share the gospel because I know with all my heart it is true!

Have a wonderful week and remember your Heavenly Father and Jesus love you!!
