This week was a week full of miracles and blessings. It all
had to do with a change in our planning.
Being a missionary, planning is extremely important. We have
to plan who to teach, what to teach, where to go, what to do, etc. If we don't
plan effectively then our day seems like an eternity and we waste the day. We
can't find people to teach if we aren't effective. I also learned this week
that when we plan effectively, we are happier in the long run.
Before this week it wasn't that our planning wasn't
effective. It just wasn't as effective as it could have been. We decided to use
the full thirty minutes, not answer the phone, and think about what we needed to
do before we put in the schedule. As we did this we had some incredible days
filled with lessons and experiences that brought others to Christ.
So much happened this week, so let me just share one day
with you. On Wednesday we planned to meet an elderly woman in our ward who is
lonely, visit a potential investigator, drop something off at a member's house,
do a practice lesson, and visit a less active member. As we planned we really
thought about what each of these people needed that day. Then we prayed to know
that that was what needed to be done and that we would be able to talk to
people along the way.
That day was probably one of the best days of my missionary
life!! Our plans didn't go exactly according to plan, but we were able to talk
with a super cute 13 year old girl, get her number, and give her a Book of
Mormon. We also were able to have some really cool lessons.
One lesson was with a less active member who we've been
trying to meet with since I came to Sanbon. We taught her about how God is our
loving Heavenly Father and shared a Mormon Message called Earthly Father,
Heavenly Father. As we taught, you could feel the Spirit so strongly. I knew in
that moment God loves each and every one of us.
That day I felt so much love for everyone we met. I know
when we plan effectively and pray for God's help, he will make our days
meaningful. I know this gospel is true and I wouldn’t give up the knowledge
that I'm a daughter of God for the world. Have an amazing week!
Love,
Sister Mustain
